Switch Power

I have a client requiring power outlets so they can configure new Cisco Catalyst 9200L switches prior to installing into the cabinets as replacements to existing units.

The client requires twenty two (22no) socket outlets to plug in the switches for configuration and the switches have a rating plate indicating 6A, this would be quite a load and above what is readily available in the IT room but I assume the 6A relates to the max power when the outlets are all being utilised not the load when they are being configured prior to installation.

Can you confirm the power used during configuration / testing? The power supplies are 230V mains

Many thanks

Many thanks for the reply

Unfortunately the table shows the power supply 6A but not the power used
during the specific condition of just being configured not used in anger.

Cheers

These are PoE models?

If so, it's PoE usage that can draw full power needs.

Considering there are 3 power supplies, and the smallest seems suitable for non-PoE 9200L variants, like the C9200L-48Ts, @220v I suspect draw will be about .7A, or less, for other variants with inactive PoE draw.
