Hey all - first post - nice looking forum (at least the software looks good so far :),
I recently got a couple of switches for a new 10G internal network, and I can't get the SX350-08 to ask for or obtain an IP address via DHCP.
I've tried connecting to 192.168.1.254 on a local laptop as well to confirm it's not set to static.
Ran wireshark on port 1, and there's activity, but no DHCP request or IP info in the stream.
Also defaulted the switch (30 seconds on the reset button).
Switch also takes a LONG time to boot (at least 2-3 minutes, though I haven't timed it yet).
Am I missing something? Haven't seen a Cisco switch not default to DHCP in a very long time.
Thanks,
David

I also got a new SG350X-24, and have no issues getting to it's web interface.

If the factory opened you should be able to get one, maybe console and see anybody already pre-configured?

Alternative to connecting via console like Balaji suggests, I would try this again. Factory reset with no links, connect laptop directly with statically-assigned address from the default 192.168.1.0/24 subnet. (Gateway won't matter but mask should be set.)

Amazing. Figured out the SX350X-08 switch does NOT have ANY IP configuration set for VLAN 1. Had to connect through console port and 'ip address dhcp' the vlan 1 interface to get it to ask for an IP.
The OOB port _does_ work with DHCP and defaults to 192.168.1.254, and I probably could have enabled DHCP on the VLAN 1 interface through the GUI, but didn't do that (and the OOB and VLAN interfaces can't be on the same subnet anyway).
The Admin Guide also states:
"On the SG350XG and the SG550XG, the default IP address 192.168.1.254 is configured to the OOB port of the device, while on the other devices it is configured on the default VLAN (Vlan 1). To access the device with the IP address configured on the OOB port, make sure the OOB port is connected to your network or PC."
So, understandable (I guess) that both the VLAN1 and OOB ports can't be given the same .254 address, but why not provision DHCP on VLAN1 by default? If anything, a 'proper' default configuration should be DHCP on VLAN 1 and static on the OOB interface, and if someone needs to manually configure it differently then, great.
The SG350X-24 doesn't have an OOB port, so that's why I didn't have the same issue with it.
Again I ask: Am I missing something? I'm not a CCNA, but this just seems idiotic to me (and made me jump through a bunch of hoops).
I also can't stack these 2 switches together without burning an extra 10G port on both of them (so they will not be stacked).
Thanks for the replies all!
