Unfortunatly the Syslog reports which i run on my ciscoworks server are always empty. How can I check if Syslog is really collecting data? The two process's on Process list are running without problems. What more can I check?

Thanks

Jorge

Hi Jorge,

You might want to check and make sure the syslog messages are hitting the server first before looking into RME. If you can check your syslog.log (windows) or syslog_info (solaris) you can see if the messages are actually making it to the server.

If the messages are appearing there then the next step is to see why they aren't in RME. In order to see syslog messages from devices, they must be managed in the RME inventory.
