How could I get my hands on a list of the diffent log messages, the severity levels and all, etc?

Hai if u are using LMS 2.5 then here is the way.

RME -> Reports -> Report Generator -> Select Syslog -> you can see a veriety of Syslog informations that can be generated by LMS 2.5

I was able to build a pretty good list of the different messages and their severity levels out of this file:

/opt/CSCOpx/cgi-bin/sysloga/syslog_msgs_html.txt
