TFTP Problem

Hi

I hope have a good day

I have 2 "Cisco 3750x" switches. They have not any special or complicated configuration. And have 2 computers, 1 Laptop and 1 Desktop.

The problem is i can not copy any switch system files on the computers. Until just a few days a go i could copy switch file system on my laptop, but suddenly this happened.

The configuration of the both switches:

- interface vlan 1

   ip address 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0

   no shutdown

Laptop IP address is 192.168.1.10 255.255.255.0

Desktop IP address is 192.168.1.11 255.255.255.0

The Laptop and the Desktop are connected to the Gi 1/0/1 and 1/0/2

The TFTP softwares that i use, are TFTPD64/TFTPD32/SolarWinds TFTP

I have tested everything, like turning of firewall, add a inbound rule for UDP 69 in firewall and add a inbound rule for all softwares to permit them and so on

When i run wireshark on the PC i see the TFTP packets that are sent from switch (192.168.1.1) to PC (192.168.1.10 or 192.168.1.11), but on the software there is no any log, and i receive the "Timed Out" message on the switch.

Even i have turned on debug on the switch, but it is not useful for Tshoot.

I need your help strongly.

Hello @Pouyaism ,

Can you try copying a file from the PC/laptop to the switch? If this is working, then it seems there is something with your PC/laptop. I would double check the firewall again.

@Pouyaism hi, most common problem for this kind of error is firewall. can you check if you have any other security programs if any in your computers. disable to PC/Laptop firewall for all networks temporarily. try to ping from switch to PC/Laptop. also, check the TFTP software is set to listen to correct network interface in PC for incoming requests.

additionally make sure your VLAN is up at switch and Gi 1/0/1 and Gi 1/0/2 are in VLAN 1.

Please rate this and mark as solution/answer, if this resolved your issue
Good luck

Hello, @Pouyaism

Not sure if you already turned on tftp server in "allow an app through firewall". If yes, try to add "host process for windows service" in the same page and have a try again.
