since the router knows the route for the destination address, ofcourse YES for ur question.
eg.
ur pc ip 10.2.1.1
router ip 10.2.1.254
my pc ip 10.3.1.1
router ip 10.3.1.254
the route goes as follows
c:\tracert 10.3.1.1
Tracing route to [10.3.1.1]
over a maximum of 30 hops:
1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 10.2.1.254
2 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 10.3.1.254
3 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 10.3.1.1
Trace complete.
hope this helps.
