Track Wireless client on WLC 2504

hello, I have client MAC addresses I want to know when they connected, for how long, and when they drop off the wireless. I also would like to set up an email alert for when specific devices disconnect from the wireless network. Is this even possible without Prime???

Thank you. I did find on the 2504>Management>SNMP>Trap I can configure a
receiver and send all of the information to the SNMP trap receiver I
choose. It may not be as glamorous or easy as Prime, but it should get the
job done. My last job I used Prime from the first day it was released. I
started on WCS, went to NCS, then into Prime up to 3.0.

Hi @peter.grafton

Yes, it is.

Usually Prime has an search bar on the dashboard. You can put the mac address there and it will find the client for you.

The log will inform all the information you mensioned.

To track this client you have a track button above client information. By clicking it you can choose between email or alert for the next client log.

Take a look and let me know if you need more information.

Maybe I misunderstand the solution, but it sounds like I need Prime to do all you are saying. As I stated in my original post, I don't have Prime. Can I do this with the controller directly?

The log is very short, only 27 hours. I don't see a track button above the client on a 2504 controller.

Sorry about that.  Yes, it is necessary Prime. WLC does not retain any information about clients sessions.  2504 doesn't even have HD for that.

If you don't have Prime or any other NMS, definitively this is not possible.
