Hi All,
I am trying to tunne up the CiscoWorks and have arrived to the User and Host Aquisition. Our System Admin, is kind of hesitatnt to let me (From the Network Infrastruture) install the ULite33.exe and the ULiteNT.bat on the domain controllers.
I wanted to know, do I have to do this for Cisco Works to work properly or I can leave this aside and not worry about it.
What does user and host aquisition will do for me since I don't care to track network users unless it is absolutly necessary for my work and a Network Engineer managing/supporting Routers and switches, Firewalls, etc.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Masood

YOU can leave it. What utlite will do is to give you the "logged in user's name" at the time of discovery. If you do not have this script installed, it will give you the wkstn., IP address & MAC of the device connected on the switch port.

Thanks. I have one more question, how can I have the Campus Manager to discover devices I have in CiscoWorks?
everything seems to work but the Campus manager.
I have tried very hard by checkingthe configuration but no success yet.
Thanks,
Masood
