Thanks Marvin. I did read your blog on the 4.2.3 upgrade. I do intend to backup my db, export credentials, collectors etc. just in case.A secondary question - do the net config jobs get carried over to the new version or do they all get lost?

LMS 4.0 allowed only ACS (tacacs) authentication - not authorization. You would have to define roles on the LMS server for authorization. With ACS 5 - there really is no support to add in roles (as in ACS 4.0) in the ACS server. I may not be stating...
