6513 with dual FWSM

Pros,

In one of my project, the 6513 with dual fwsm installed as the core with backend firewall configuration. The outside fw zone

with secu level 0 contains dhcp server and the inside users getting the IP address dynamically.When the fwsm active module is up there is no problem users are getting their ip address.Sometime the active module is down and can not session to it by "session slot 1 pro 1"

cmd. At the same time the clents are not able to get the IP add eventhough the secondary fw module is become active. Except the dhcp client issue other all services are working.

What is the issue with the active fw suddenly not accessable?. The work around is to simply reload the 6513 switch.

What is the solu to this problem?

we need to collect some logs from the active modules, is there any crash report available. this could be a software bug, have you tried upgrading.

for the dhcp client issue too, we need to see what are the logs saying
