Hi ALL
i have to install an ASA 5505 and i need DHCP for more than 1000 ip addresses
i faced a problem when i am configuring a DHCP pool that i con not get more than 256 ip addresss from the dhcp pool
do i have to buy a license or upgrading new firware or what ???
please help

Hi George,
The ASA only supports a maximum DHCP pool size of 256:

"If the number of hosts is unlimited, the maximum available DHCP pool is 256 addresses."

Does that mean 256 for BOTH the default basic inside LAN and the available DMZ, or 256 for EACH??

i have two inside LAN sides (guest and admin), for admin it's static IP but the problem with guest that i need to enable DHCP server to give them more than 1000 IP addresses
i have read from the documentation that i cannot create a DHCP pool for more than 254 ip addresses even if i have unlimited lisence
