We are in the process of replacing our remote ASA 5506X devices with the new FPR1010 devices.
Our FMC at the main office manages all of these devices with classic licenses.
I know the new FPR 1010 devices require a smart license.
Is there any issue running in a "hybrid" type mode where some devices have classic licenses, and some licenses are smart?
I've been able to create a VPN Site to Site connection between the main 5516x and the new unit. I just want to manage the policies that are applied to the new device via FMC.
Topology Overview:
Main Site and DR Site: ASA 5516X w/Firepower attached to FMC with Classic Licenses (not being replaced)
Remote Large offices: ASA 5508X w/Firepower attached to FMC with Classic Licenses (not being replaced)
all other remote offices: ASA 5506X w/Firepower attached to FMC with Classic Licenses (these are being replaced with the new FPR1010 devices.)
Thanks in advance for any help.

A given FMC can manage both types of devices.
I've done that with a mix of Legacy Sourcefire 3D series (PAK licensed) and FTD (smart licensed) since 6.0 or 6.1.

Thank you.
That's what I was hoping.
