Hello all,
We have a a 5512-X with the 6-port expansion card installed. Our network requires that 6 hosts be connected on the inside ports and 6 hosts connected on the outside ports pass multicast traffic. The 6 hosts on the outside are receiving information outside the known local area networks that that firewall knows about within it's routing tables. With that said all the multicast data from the inside hosts passes to the outside hosts with no issues. The return path coming back is a different story. The multicast packets coming from the outside are sourced with an IP that the FW does note have in its routing table and when running the debug for mfib/mrib they are being dropped at the outside interface. I have tried multiple variations of IGMP static joins and join groups. The only way to make the data pass from the outside interface to an inside interface is to enter a static mroute. However the ASA mroute will only send the multicast data to 1 of the inside interfaces and not all 6 of them. Does anyone know a way to make this type of configuration work?
