ASA Failover status monitoring (PRTG) using REST API

Hello.

May be You find simple way to monitoring ASA Active/Standby Failover cluster in PRTG.

I complete this sensor and You can use it for free:

You need run cisco REST API Agent on asa and use user with low privelege level.

I can adapt this sensor for other sysmem (not PRTG), if need.

Hi Oleg,

I find this script for custom PRTG sensor very useful. I'm using it for some ASA clusters and its working great!

However, we have some ASA clusters with custom HTTPS port and they seem to be having issues with your script.

Is it possible to add a parameter so that we can input custom port?

Hello!

I try to:

1. CLI ASA:

  no http server enable

  http server enable 7443

2. Change sensor settings and replase -i %host by -i %host:7443

And it work.

I can add separate parameter but I think this solution acceptable.

It's working now.

-i %host:7443    <-- this option works!

I just didn't add http <server IP> <interface> on the firewall earlier to allow http from the PRTG probe server.

followed steps and get PRTG sensor error "Invalid IP" any advice? was able to add the custom exe sensor and the .exe but when it runs it errors on an IP issue??
