Hi Kristian,
There is a bug with cisco wherein java 7 update 51 causes the problem with ASDM access. The bug id is CSCum46193.
I would suggest you to downgrade to java version to java 7 update 45 and it would work.

Hi,
Could you try downgrading your Java to version 6 or the previous one when it was still working?

Hello Prateek (or anyone else who can help)
As stated in my last post here, it work fine. However trying again today, it's broken again, checked my java version and it's still 7u45. (ASDM is 7.1.5-100)
Tried on another machine with the workaround in CSCum46193, this machine with Java 7u51.
ASDM is 7.1.5-100
security exception for ASA's IP is addeed in java cpl
Any ideas?

Kristian,
If you are getting the same message as in this thread.
https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2261710?tstart=0
try these steps that I took and it should work with Jave 7 u51.
1. Go to the ASA IP address in IE.
2. Select Continue to website. (This is where it asks if you want to install the ASDM Launcher)
3. In the Address Bar click on "Certificate Error" then "View Certificates."
4. Go to Details tab and select "Copy to File" and export the cert to my desktop using the default DER format.
5. Open Java Control Panel and go to "Security" tab and "Manage Certificates."
6. Selected "Secure Site" in drop down box and clicked "Import."
7. Select "All Files" in drop down box, and selected the Cert that I exported from IE.
