sad to hear that, if you have some console access and you able to see anything we can able to help you to sort.

since you concluded dead, we no longer proceed further, any 5510 is eol already.(since u do not have contact cisco can not RMA also the unit)

worth trying new gear, 550X-X model with FTD.

if you do not require further asistance here, close this thread will be appriciated.

Try format flash ? as mentioned below steps : (if not raise a TAC case for RMA) - make sure you have backup of the configfile.

Hi, yes, I managed to bring it to boot normaly, the only thing that seems wrong is the following

open /dev/hdb1:No such file or directory
dosfsck(/dev/hdb1) returned 1
mount: mounting /dev/hdb1 on /mnt/disk1 failed: No such file or directory
mount: mounting /dev/hdb1 on /mnt/disk1 failed: No such file or directory

Before formatting flash I would open the chassis (lots of screws) and reseat the internal CF (Compact Flash) card.

i formatted the flash and have only asdm and asa binaries in backup i dont have contract in cisco

after format flash you still have issue ?
