Cisco Catalyst switch with any 10/100 switch

I want to know that we can use cisco catalyst switch with any 10/100 normal switch?

yes, you can, however, i just came across a weird problem where with foundry switches, if both sides are set to 100/full catalyst loses connectivity, so you have to have both ends on auto/auto.
