Hi all,
Is there way to configure the vlan tagging or vlan id for the wan port on cisco pix or asa.
The Cisco Firewall connected to the modem in which you save the login information for dialing into the DSL network, must be support VLAN tagging 7
According to the modem instructions the VLAN tagging value must be 7. This VLAN value is provided by T-Online for the dial and use the VDSL2 data connection. Otherwise modem has a link but does not come into internet.
thanks all

Hello,
The only way would be by setting it as a trunk link (sub-interface) with vlan ID 7

Trunk support was added to Pix OS 6.3 and later. The 501 does not have VLAN support if I recall correctly.
Even on the ASA, the base license 5505 does not have trunk support on its interfaces, you need the Security Plus license.
