Hi,
I am unable to add a 4200 series IPS sensor to the CSM database. It passes the connectivity test but at the end it says failed to add device and gives the following error "unable to get os version from device or configuration file".
I have not had this problem before as I have two ASAs and two AIP-SSM modules added to CSM.
Any idea as to what the problem might be, thanks.

I already know how to do that, it seems my problem has more to do with what CSM supports.
I will do this later and give an update.

Which IPS model and CSM version you are using and which OS is installed in IIPS.
I have CSM 3.1.1 with service pack 1 and 2 installed. IPS 4255 with version 5.x is added in it.
Earlier i was having problem with old version of CSM but after the upgrade it is working fine.

I am using CSM 3.1 and an IPS 4240 with 5.0. I upgraded the IPS to 6.0 and the CSM picked it up. I guess I should probably think about upgrading the CSM as well.
Why is that when you upgrade the image on the sensor the configuration goes away?

We have the same issues before. We have to upgrade our CSM to 3.1.0

CSM 3.1.1 was released in Jan, but CSM 3.2 is due the end of this month. It should add support for the AIM card (the NM-CIDS replacement)
