Hi,

Has anyone managed to deploy Cisco FireSIGHT Management Center in Azure cloud environment? I couldn't find any documentation regarding this. Please advise if this is possible and point me in the right direction.

Thank you.

You cannot do that by design. Even if you managed to hack an installation into working, it would not be supported.

The only supported platforms (as of the latest current FirePOWER Management Center 6.0.1) are ESXi 5.1, 5.5 or vCloud Director 5.1.

Hi Marvin,

Thanks for the reference. Is the Azure platform support in the pipeline?

You're welcome.

I've not heard anything about Azure. I've been asking on behalf of my customers for Hyper-V support for over a year with no progress on that.

I know a lot of development effort at Cisco right now in this space is focused on the new FirePOWER Threat Defense (FTD) unified image (FirePOWER plus ASA).

Hi Marvin,

it seems that the FMCv is supported in AWS, thus I do not understand why it can not be done by design, as said. Is there any limitation that FMCv can not manage ASA deviced from outside your network?

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/firepower/quick_start/aws/fmcv-aws-qsg.html

https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/B01DCZSUMY

We would like to implement FMCv in the private cloud which is outside the network, secured by managed-ASA devices.

Dears,

please help me the below question.

can able to instal FTD/Firepower Management Center (FMC) in cisco BE6000 Server, in this server only runnning CCUM and one voice Mail.

Please start a new thread. Your question is off topic from the original posting.

You will be able to put FTD in Azure in 6.2.  Slide 65 states it on the bottom.

Hi all

Instead of posting another on the same topic I'll bump this one. Is there any news on FMCv in Azure? Seems rather proprietary to only support VMware and AWS, I for one have a clear business case for Azure.

Regards

Fredrik

There's currently no support for Azure (or announcement of such support pending). But then Cisco rarely published roadmap information publicly.

You might watch for the release of version 6.3 (expected in the next 1-2 months) and see what's in the release notes at that point.
