Hi Mahesh,

Is there any specific requirement for the need of DHCP option 46 ?

Refer:-

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc958929.aspx

Thanks and Regards,

Vibhor Amrodia

Hi Vibhor,

AP is assigned IP,controller IP and Gateway via console already.

WLC can see the AP

My only concern is user PC getting IP from cisco ASA?

Do I need DHCP option 43 for client PC getting IP from cisco ASA?

Regards

MAhesh

Hi

I would understand from post that you want to get "WLC ip" to AP while DHCP discover.

Pls refer below link for asa dhcp config.

We need to configure DHCPD Option 43 and Option 60 together. If you do not specify an option 60 for some scope, the content of option 43 is returned to any DHCP client asking for an IP address in that subnet. In general we should try to define it in the DHCP scope as it makes sure that option 43 is returned only to LAPs and not other clients but it also depends upon the type of the DHCP server.
