Hello,

We have a Virtual FMC with a 10 devices license and we currently manage 6 FTD devices (3 failover pairs)

We are now thinking about deploy a second virtual FMC and move 2 devices over to the second FMC.

Will I need an additional licens for this or will my current 10 device license be enough?

Thanks

/Chess

yes correct (to be honest i am not happy with that License model, there should be dynamic License model for the smart License, you can use rest of the License for other devices). - Hope Cisco hear this.

You need separate License for the new FMC to meet to compliance.

read some guide lines of License :

Thanks for your reply.

So in that case I guess we will need an additional fmcv2 license for the 2 devices we move to the new FMC and then keep the fmcv10 license for the other 4 devices.

/Chess.

Licenses is per fmc.

If we get fmc with 10 that not meaning you can separate it to multi fmc each one connect to one or more ftd.
