I have ASA 5555-X with more that 4GB of storage so more than the storage requirement of 3GB. However when I checked the inventory I see no SSDs. Just Storage device 1 and storage device 2 entries. Reading the documentation sounded like I will need SSDs in order to proceed booting my ASA with the FTD image 6.4.0.7. Please advise if this is correct.

Got my answer. Yes it does.
![]() Note | For the FTD on the ASA 5512-X through 5555-X, you must install a Cisco solid state drive (SSD). For more information, see the ASA 5500-X hardware guide. For the ASA, the SSD is also required to use the ASA FirePOWER module. (The SSD is standard on the ASA 5506-X, 5508-X, and 5516-X.) |
