Does the FPR family, specifically the FPR1010 support the “License Reservation” feature of off-line Smart Licensing? If so, how does one create a “Reservation Request Code” on the FPR1010?
Thank-you
Tom

As per my knowledge - everything now smart license, you need to create a CCO account and get a smart license to add to FP to work.
here is some reservation : but not tried myself.

If you're running FTD on your Firepower 1010 and using local management (Firepower Device Manager - FDM), the Permanent License Reservation (PLR) feature is not supported as of version 6.5.
We expect this feature in 6.6, coming in 1H CY 2020. When using PLR, your Smart Account must also be enabled for it.

So I know this is an older post but I’m just receiving my first round of 1010s and the have 6.6 installed and i still don’t see an option for offline registration or license registration, or on premises for that matter. Has anyone successfully manage to do this or know how or if available yet?

Look under the settings icon ("gear" on top right) on the Smart Licensing page of FDM:

Hi, you need to open case with Global Licensing Team to enable your Smart Account to be able to configure permanent license reservation.

We encountered the same error and opened the case with L2 Licensing OPS
. Their advice is as follows:
Our reseller/sales account has no idea on how to make the provisioned licenses to support PLR. They've never heard about it. We asked the Cisco what the license order number for the PLR. He told us this is out of their scope. We totally got stuck in there. Anyone has idea how to solve this or which Cisco channel we should escalate?

@yf-lau do you have a Cisco Account Manager? What is your country?

We are in Hong Kong and do not have a Cisco Account Manager. We purchased the Cisco Firewall through the reseller.

Unfortunately PLR requires a Cisco AM to sponsor the request. It is not an automatic entitlement that can simply be ordered. It is generally reserved for customers in government (e.g., military or intelligence) situations where Internet connectivity is strictly not allowed.

Thanks for your help. The customer shall then qualify for the entitlement. We will try Cisco again.
