Hello,
We are trying to set up a remote VPN with ShrewSoft and you have just created a video which is helpful but it kind of glosses over the FQDN as being something you are automatically going to have. This is just a small office/site where one or two people will occasionally need to remote in to the Network and we have several domains for our websites but no need for a name server device in this office. We do all of our email in the cloud. Can someone tell me how to create an FQDN on a PC or our RV260W so the ShrewSoft software will work? Or can the RV260W assign a static IP for this purpose only? Or something? Any direction would be greatly appreciated. We have fast connection, and a nice router now. Would be nice if we could remote in to the network rather than through what we do now. (Similar to GoToMyPc) Thanks in advance!

If i undertand correctly.
You looking remote users to connect using VPN to RV260W and browse the site internally hosted.
if this is the case you do not need FQDN, you can have internal DNS name like bbandi.local (create bbandi as host record in your extiing DNS Server) and point to PC IP internal one example x.x.x23(where your web server running)
Other way you want to have public access this x.x.x.23 as fully qulified domain.
then you need to have static IP address (Public) - y.y.y.23 do Static NAT with x.x.x.23
make your part of domain ( example : remote.yourdomain.com - make remte host entry in your public name server point to y.y.y.23)
NAT Example :

since you do not have Static IP, and you need to Setup Dyna DNS to get mapped with your Public IP changing Dynamically.
Instead Simple solution for me now, rather make Technically complicated.
Team Viewer is the good solution, so you can connect with user registration.
Hope this information helps you.
