Post migration from FWSM to Standalone ASA Kit , is there a need to explicitly Deny Any on the ASA's at the end of line .

Explicit deny is only necessary if you want to log hits on it. Otherwise there is an implicit deny from lower to higher security (as well as for any interafce that has an access-group applied to it).
