global (outside) interface vs global (outside) ip_addr

Is there any functional difference between:

global (outside) 1 interface

and

global (outside) 1 24.23.22.1 netmask /29

assuming by global block is 24.23.22.0 /29 and the outside interface is 24.23.22.1 /29

?

If the interface IP is 24.23.22.1 then there will be no difference in commands "global (outside) 1 interface" and "global (outside) 1 24.23.22.1". However the purpose of using command "global (outside) 1 interface" is when the interface IP is dynamically assigned by DHCP and is not known in advance.
