How to buy AMP License for ASA?

Hi,

I am going to install a ASA 5506 X for a small business. Usually, I use Sonicwall firewall and it's Comprehensive Gateway Security Suite for other customers. However, since I just got CCNA Security and would like to try out ASA with Advanced Malware Protection.

While Sonicwall's of Comprehensive Gateway Security Suite can be bought online on Amazon, I had a hard time looking for where to buy AMP licence.

Can anyone show me how much the AMP license cost a year and where to buy it?

Just want to heads up, AMP is not that low cost as you expect. Its bit expensive for your kind of requirement.

Thank you for your answer. The ASA 5506X firewall is about $500, I wonder how much the AMP license is a year? Comprehensive Gateway Security Suite for Sonicwall is $310/year.

Note that the ASA 5506-X is approaching end of sales. It will not support Firepower software past version 6.2.x (release 6.4 is just out for other platforms).

I would strongly advise waiting a month or two and you will see new platforms announced at Cisco Live US.

If you still want to go with AMP on an ASA 5506-X, the part number is L-ASA5506T-TM-1Y. List price is US$450 for 1 year term subscription and US$1075 for 3 years.

Especially thank Marvin for the recommendation and the part number, with which I can find where to buy it immediately!

Although 5506-X is going to end of sales but I think I still have to buy it for the customer because he wants it soon and does not want to spend more than $500 for a firewall. Is there any Cisco ASA which has longer lifetime than the 5506-X and under $1000?
