HI,
I am installing PIX 515e through the PDM.
Looks like I have entered all the required information correctly but still not able to access the internet.
The router is working fine and I am able to access the internet if I connect my pc, with a range of the public IP address, directly to the switch to which the router is connected.
Host Configuration:192.168.0.10 / 24 gateway - 192.168.0.1 ( Firewall Internal IP)
Firewall configuration: E1 - 192.168.0.1
E0 - A.B.C.D1
Router configuration: E0: A.B.C.D6.
S0: A.B.C.DD.
With all the configurations done I am still not able to browse the internet.
What rules I need to set on the firewall box?
Access list?
NAT?
Could someone help me?
Regards
Vik

Hi
You have to enable NAT, basically it is PAT using NAT and GLOBAL commands.
For example using CLI:
nat (inside) 1 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0
global (outside) 1 interface
Also add
route outside 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 A.B.C.D6
hope this helps.

Hi,
Thanks Buddy. It solved my problem. Global and Nating was missing.
I tried to do same kind of nating through the PDM but it didnot accept...no clues why? Never thought of entering through the CLI.
ANyways. Really appriciate.
Thanks...to all fo you guys...god bless you.
