Hi,
We have a couple of pixes in active/standby configuration. For some reason we are working on our secondary pix, since our primary doesn't stop restarting.
The primary pix restarts, comes up, starts failover negotiation with the active one, receives the configuration. Looks fine, and after 2 minutes he restarts again, and again, and again.
The message he reports just before he reboots:
********************************************************
*** PIX Restart - 1550 block memory depletion ***
********************************************************
SIZE MAX LOW CNT
4 1600 1600 1600
80 400 392 399
256 1012 964 1012
1550 2340 0 0
Rebooting..
We've contacted our supplier who's investigating the issue, but so far no result.
We've replaced the failing pix with a spare one, we do receive the same behaviour.
The problem seems to be related to the number of 1550 block which are all used. According to doc this number of block is increased automatically to max of 8000. When full, packets are dropped, looks like our pix is just hanging himself and reboots without increasing this number of blocks.
Any suggestions would be welcome. We're kind of a hurry since we don't dare to touch the operational one.
Thx.
HVD
