PIX 535 Fiber Interfaces

I am looking for a Single mode Fiber interface for a 535, All i can find is a Multimode fiber interface. Is is hidden or not available.

I haven't seen them, Robert. Ever. What about mode-conditioning patch cords?

Hi Robert,

PIX535 only support MMF with SC-SC interface type. It does not have/support SMF. I think the reason is that connectivity with MMF is sufficient enough to provide connectivity to other devices (routers/switches) within certain distance.

That's why you do not see any doc on PIX or GBIC card supporting SMF.
