PIX in Routing Mode

Hi,

I have a Hub and Spoke topology, Frame Relay is the WAN connection.

I'm planning to use EIGRP as Routing Protocol, but i'm stuck at the Firewall.

I was looking for a way to configure the Firewall for EIGRP, which is think it supports just OSPF.

My second option is to configure the Firewall with Static route and distribute EIGRP routes in its routing table.

Please confirm that i can't configure EIGRP, and direct me on how to redistribute EIGRP in the PIX.

By the way, the PIX is running in Routing mode

I have a 2nd question. after the traffic is passin in clear test successfully, i think GRE should me my choice for the Tunnel and not IPSEC coz of th Multicast traffic, am i right???

Please check attached

For the routing you could setup and OSPF area with your firewall and 1 or more of the routers. Then have the router redistribute the routes from EIGRP to OSPF allowing the pix to get the routes.

This link should help.

GRE would work.

Another option is Multicast VPN.

or

IPSEC VTI

Thanks,

Please rate if this helps.

The routers with the Frame-Raley are behind the PIX?

If that's the case with you want to use a routing protocol in the PIX? If your IP scheme is done right you just need to add a summary route in the PIX pointing to your main WAN router.
