pix & ospf

got a pix 515e ur with dmz...am gonna be inserting this on an existing ospf area X..is it right to just do the below config

router ospf 1

network A mask A area X (for inside)

Network B mask B area X (for outside)

network C mask C area X (for dmz)

is it like router that he will learn all the routes on the enabled interfaces..or if there are differences tell me pls..Because i saw some configurations such as

network 10.0.0.0 255.0.0.0 area 10.0.0.0

this can be found on the below link which is so hard for me to understand

Hi,

Sorry for the confusion. The PIX implementation of OSPF is based on the IOS implementation. What you are proposing is fine. As in IOS, you can also represent the area ID in a 4 octet arrangement. I realize most people do not do this so I am not sure why the docs use this as an example. Anyway, please do not be concerned with this example and continue setting the OSPF area ID as you have in the past. Hope this helps.
