Hi,
i have a pix with the default gateway the HSRP ip address. That way, the pix won't work. If i put the gateway the ip address of one o my routers it works fine.
From one router i can ping the other router but not the hsrp ip address.
I have a concentrator with hsrp ip address as gateway and works fine.
Can anyone help me on this?
Regards

PIX should work with HSRP address. Sounds like an ARP issue? Check the ARP caches.

Hi,
This indeed sounds like an arp issue as mentioned above. A static arp entry to the HSRP multicast MAC address may help.
You do mention though that pinging the HSRP address from one of the HSRP routers does not work - is the HSRP definitely functioning as it should?
Also, is your concentrator pointing to the same HSRP address as the PIX?
