practical exprience regarding static map ?

pl share knowledge that without configured any static map from outside side ( private IP) not internet can access behind Pix firewall ?/

anyone have doing practical experience ?/.

If I understand your question...

The default behavior for ASA and PIX is to block all traffic from the outside to the inside unless you have a static command AND an access list permitting traffic.

The default behavior for traffic going from the inside to outside interface is unrestricted as long as there is a NAT and Global statement in place.
