Replacement of primary unit failed in Active Standby cluster of Cisco ASA 5585

Hello Team,

We are running Cisco ASA 5585 clusters in Active /Standby Mode, Primary unit failed and all the traffic failed over to the secondary, and presently the secondary unit handling all the traffic.

My question is when we get the RMA device and connect to the network with basic failover configuration, will the confirmation replication happen from Secondary to Primary or Primary to secondary?

As per my knowledge by default always replication can happen from primary to Secondary unit.

it should not happen that replication happens from primary to secondary and we lost all the configuration on the secondary box.

please suggest the procedure to replace the primary unit.

Follow below thread : already discussed - how to replace failed unit.

Note : make sure you take the configuration backup out of the box to be safe,
