Reset to 0 hitcnt on Cisco PIX

Hi my cuestion is the following.

Every how much, te hit count in the Cisco PIX access-list are reset to 0?. That is, this process every how much happen?

I don't think that they will reset to 0 on their own. It also don't believe it is possible to clear the hit counts via a specific command.

The only way I am aware of is by removing and re-applying the ACL via the access-group command.

In reply to your question, let's say that you have an ACL called the following:

access-list inside_access_in permit ip any any

and you wish to clear the hit counters on it, simply type:

clear access-list inside_access_in counters

DO NOT forget the "counters" keyword or you WILL delete the specified ACL.

Ok, I understand, but is what I want to know if the "hitcnt" reset to 0 itself and, if it is like that, every how much this happen?
