You can reset enable password by recovery procedure with simplicity then reset it to default factory.

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/110/34.shtml

okay.. now.. i need to reset it to factory default.. how would i do that?:)

First of all recover the password through its procedure (http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/110/34.shtml) then login to the PIX and execute "write erase" at privileged mode.

After that when you reload it, the cisco pix return to default factory.

okay thanks.. now how would i go about upgrading it to newest version? assuming that i have an image already

see the following link to upgrade your PIX firewall:

If you're going to upgrade to version 7.x, you should to upgrade memmory depend on your license.

if you have PIX-515E with UnRestricted/Failover license you should have 128MB RAM and if you have Restricted license, you should have 64MB RAM.

thanks, i appreciate all the help

i just upgraded to latest 6.3(4) (acording to "sh ver")

but i'm geting some problem with PDM...

Unsupported Version

This version of PDM does not officially support 6.3(4). Please upgrade PDM. Do you want to continue with this version of PDM?

how do I upgrade my PDM now?

do I need some special login priviledges or something in order to download latest PDM?

yes, you need a Cisco Connection Online (CCO) username and password to download PDM software.

and if i dont then i'm out of luck? can i ask someone from you download that for me? or is it against the rules?

Hi..is there any other link??.I cant access the link you gave..tnx
