Router connected to pix (protocol down)

Hi,

I'm directly connecting a cico 2600 to a pix 515e.My line protocol is down.Cable connections are properly terminated.Is there something that i'm doing wrong?

chek the cross cable first try to crimp a new one and use it.

if u r sure about cross cable then try cheking duplex,speed on both pix and router.

Hi,

Make sure you are using a crossover cable. And for the duplex and speed to match on the pix and router. I have had issues if i did not force the speed and duplex
