Trying to enable cisco trustsec macsec on catalyst 6509 not working

i'm following the steps above to enable Cisco trust sec in manual mode on a tengig port on my 6509 switch, but when i run the  

mode-list gcm null no-encap command, it does not work. I enabled this on a catalyst 9300 an it worked flawlessly so i'm not sure what can be the issue.

Can you post show version, what sup card in that chasis ?

Cat9K new models so they obviouly work and they have different code all together IOS XE.

my sup cards are

5 2 Supervisor Engine 720 (Active) WS-SUP720-3B
6 2 Supervisor Engine 720 (Hot) WS-SUP720-3B

Been Long worked on Cat 6500, that too 720 cards.

if i recall correctly i do not think this has support i guess here. ( need to dig in to some release notes and requirement)
