Hello,
We would like to upgrade our Firewall from 9.1(2) to 9.6(4)12 and we don't have any support contract with cisco.
Are there any risk to upgrade a firewall without direct support with Cisco ? And what is the upgrade path to proceed ?
Thank you

hi,
you can upgrade directly 9.1.2 > 9.6.4. refer to link:
you can either use FTP or ASDM to transfer the ASA OS or image, i.e. connect to your ASA 9.6 via ASDM, download the 9.6 image file to your management PC, then from your PC transfer the image to ASA 9.1.

Are you able to download new Code from Cisco site, then you can upgrade. upgrade not cause of Damage the kit as long as you take precautions.
why the only 9.6X is the question, the stable version you can go to 9.8.X or 9.12 is my suggestion

Hi,
Sorry I'm not really expert in Cisco Firewall, could you provide me more information about the code ?
My other firewall has the version 9.6 installed. I just want to install the same version.
Thank you,
