I am a bit unclear as to the upgrade path I should take - I have 2 ASA 5510s in active/standby running 8.0(4)34 and would like to upgrade to 8.2.5. Do I need to first upgrade to 8.0.(5) before upgrading to 8.2.5, or can I just jump straight to 8.2.5?
Thanks,
Eric

And one more thing, please be sure that you have the right memory requirement for it, for ASA 5510 for ASA 8.2.x, you recommened is 1GB, but it should atleast be 512MB, here is the doc:

Hi Eric,
The recommended upgrade path is from 8.0.4.34 ----> 8.0.5 ----------> 8.2.5, but I have not seen any issue with upgarding to 8.2.5, you shouldn't face any issues with the upgrade.
Here is a doc for zero-downtime upgrade:
Hope this helps,
Thanks,

Thanks for the quick response Varun - I appreciate it. I think I will "follow the rules" and go to 8.0.5 first just so I don't get into an unsupported condition if I have any issues. I appreciate the link to the zero-downtime upgrade - I was planning on following that guide as well. Also upped the memory to 1 GB each as recommended for 8.2 so I think I am all set to proceed.
Take care,
Eric

No Problem , you can post on the same thread if you face any issues while upgrade, thanks for the rating.
