Hi,

current image is asa915-k8.bin  9.1(5)

asdm  7.2(1) -asdm -721.bin

Planning to upgrade  asa917-32-k8 ,in that case  what would be the asdm image file ?.

Or  I can just  use the same asdm (7.2(1)) , If not which version need to be installed . ?

And before going for upgrade is there anything need to be checked  . ?

What are the upgrade procedure for active standby ?

Thanks

Hi elite2010,

Here is a table of compatibility of ASA and ASDM versions:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/asa/compatibility/asamatrx.html#id_59423

Usually, what  you do is you upgrade the secondary (standby) unit, then initiate failover, so that secondary unit takes over active role and then upgrade the primary unit. Then you fail back to primary again. This way you achieve a zero downtime upgrade.

Hi,

There is IPS module , is it necessary to upgrade ips module ?

if yes how can I do that ?

Thanks
