Hi all,
My Scenario is simple Lan, Wan (Two ISP) and DMZ.
Can we connect Lan, Wan and DMZ cables on single switch (In small organization). It may be a security compramise.
But Is it possible and how?

Arjun, can you brief in your requirements like what exactly you want and looking for?
DMZ tern is under security while LAN and WAN are networking terms. in your scenario what is exactly happening?

Hi JD...
Thanx for your reply..
My concern is only that can we connect all the connections (ISP Cable, LAN cable, DMZ [Wan Router..Connected MPLS on branches] ) on a single switch (L2/L3) instead of dedicated switch.
Thanx....

The question would be more appropreiate to ask in the Switching and Routing forum.
From a security perspective, what did you want answered? Are you looking to make connections stateful? Or were you just interested in getting an L3 switch to work with all those interfaces?

No, practically not a right practise, you should be needed dedicated device for each of them for redundency. because think for a while, if switch goes down - you are down
hope this helps. pls mark this as answered if it satisfies your query.

Hi..JD..
Ya It's a Single Point Of Failure.
But is there any workaround by configuring vlans/Private vlans for respective zone (LAN, ISP and DMZ-Wan).
Thanx..
