For some people with custom configs or inhereting a network with custom configs you may need to take your install a step further and make sure you are connecting to the right download area for your ASDM. You can do this by going to your cli and typing the following:

Your ASDM download page should now populate. Remember you have to be on the inside of your network to see this, using the above method.
