This topic is a chance to discuss more about how Virtual Extensible LAN (VXLAN) / VXLAN Ethernet Virtual Private Network (EVPN) works. It covers the best practices to configure, deploy and troubleshoot a Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) EVPN fabric BGP EVPN deployment and manageability can be much simpler with adequate preparation and following documented guidance.
The Cisco Nexus 9000 and many other Nexus platforms has the capability to deploy VXLAN fabric with BGP EVPN.

Rurick Kellermann is a Team Leader of the Data Center Routing & Switching team at Cisco’s TAC in USA. He has over 20 years of experience working in the IT filed, de specializes on Routing & Switching, Services Provider (MPLS), Multicast and VXLAN technologies. Rurick holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Universidad Autonoma de Centro America in Costa Rica.
Abayomi Adefila is a Technical Leader in the Cisco Routing Protocol technology space and is part of a team of leaders that handles escalation engagements on all routing protocols, VXLAN (EVPN), Multicast and related subjects. He has been working in the telecommunication and networking industry for the past 18+ years, with the most recent almost 9 years with Cisco. He holds a Master’s degree in Advanced Computer Networking from Glasgow Caledonian University, Scotland. Abayomi holds two CCIE certifications, one in Routing & Switching and one in Service Provider (#25926) among other industry certifications.
