My customer uses both Platform N9K and C9K.
What they are looking for is to reduce complexity from a management perspective.
I need to know the recommended solution I can provide which they can use as a single pain of glass.
e.g. DCNM and DNAC
Thanks

Hello,
thank you for this discussion topic. I am quite sure, that a lot of customers are thinking about this, and some "global Cisco architect" (means independent from a specific Cisco BU) should look into this. Let me comment my personal view on this, assuming that we are considering classic networks and not fabrics (such as SDA, VXLAN-EVPN or ACI).
1. Cisco Catalyst Center (CC) has Nexus switches included with some limitations in its compatibility list:
https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/Website/enterprise/catalyst_center_compatibility_matrix/index.html
Inventory, Topology and Assurance is somehow supported, but no firmware management and no configuration management.
2. Nexus Dashboard has (for this purpose) 2 major applications: NDFC and NDI
2.1 NDFC shows up in its release notes with some support for C9K/IOS-XE:
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/dcn/ndfc/1212/compatibility/cisco-ndfc-compatibility-matrix-guide-1212.html#concept_c51_qsw_gwb
As NDFC is primary a configuration management tool, this could mean some configuration management support for those devices (tbc). The support for C9K/IOS-XE seems to be limited to classic IPFM environments.
2.2 NDI is primary a monitoring tool. I do not see any support for C9K/IOS-XE.
Summary: none of the tools above is supporting fully both Nexus and Catalyst. However, for me it looks that CC has some "generic device support", which includes Nexus, so this one looks currently for me as the more open solution.
