alarm handling

Suppose for a particular device if i wanted to ignore specific alarms  for example like "Revision error"  based on alarm_text. I understand one can use the option notify_cli disable but that would disable based on severity like minor , major.

I understand administrator alarm handling where an admin can request state changes to alarams by ack, closed but if i wanted to customize the alarm manager and ignore certain alarms what is the procedure.

Hi,

You should consult the NSO documentation on this topic and  see if that helps.

Hi Dan,

Thanks for replying back.I am unable to find any specific commands to ignore specific text for example like "Revision error"  based on alarm_text.  If you can point me in right direction, it would be great.Appreciate the help.

Hi Subramanian,

As you've discovered you can't purge alarms based on the text, I believe you'd have to implement such a feature yourself.
