Syslog message content

Hi,

Looking at the NSO Admin Guide, under the syslog section, there's a table listing the different syslog messages.

For each message, it specifies a symbol and the message format.

Is there a way to have the symbol included in the syslog message?

Is the value of the symbol field is anywhere visible?

You can write your own notification receiver that does anything you like with these messages, e.g. reformat and send out over any channels you like. You'd probably want to turn off the syslog sending that NSO does internally if you do this.
