Karthik Raja, Software Technical Leader Software Architect

Abstract

NSO generic MOP configurator is a tool developed for applying Day 0.5, Day 1, and Day N CLI or NETCONF configurations to any device. This tool is built to support o support adhoc config commits and rollbacks since it is almost impossible to create a perfect YANG model for a service that supports all requirements over time.

Key Notes :
1) NSO Generic MOP Configurator is an asynchronous tool to configure the CLI/Netconf configs for one or more devices
2) Provides flexibility to do the full or partial rollback of the request.
3) Support various device types and deployment options to consider HA pair, slave first, apply to the group devices and save configs permanently or transient. Etc.
4) NSO package internally generates dry-run's/reverse-dry-runs into files for auditing
5) Provide support for NSO templates and files containing variables
6) Tool is successfully plugged/adopted into 4G CUPS reusable solution package.
